LA GRANGE POLICE INVESTIGATED TWO BURGLARIES

  

The La Grange Police Department is seeking the public’s help in a pair of burglary cases.

According to the Fayette County Record, the first burglary occurred at the Peaceful Rest Baptist Church at 808 East Fannin Street during a period where no one was at the building between November 6 and November 20.

The church’s Yamaha keyboard organ, two speakers, and a big screen TV were taken.  The total value of stolen items is estimated at $2,000.

La Grange Police Chief David Gilbreath said that there were no signs of forced entry.

The other burglary was discovered this past Monday at the La Grange Masonic Lodge at 1001 North Jefferson Street.

Sometime over Thanksgiving Week, person or persons unknown threw rocks to break five windows on the north side of the building.  The estimated cost to fix the windows is $175 each.

They also ransacked the building, and took a small amount of cash.
