WASHINGTON COUNTY TEENAGER ARRESTED IN SHOOTING INCIDENT

  

A Washington County teenager was arrested in connection with a shooting incident that occurred in Grimes County on Saturday night.

Several off-duty officers from the Navasota Police Department, Grimes County Sheriff’s Office, and Grimes County Constable Offices were working two separate events in the 5200 block of FM 3455.

Around midnight, officers were advised of shots fired in the parking lot of the venue.

Officers rushed to the scene where witnesses were able to give them a description of the vehicle that the shooters left in.

Navasota Police Officers located the vehicle on Highway 90 and conducted a traffic stop.  The three occupants were identified as all being 17 years of age and under, and all from Washington County.

During a search of the vehicle, officers located a firearm. 

Police say witness statements and evidence located at the venue confirmed evidence that a shooting had occurred. 

One juvenile was arrested and charged with Deadly Conduct.  The juvenile was processed at the Navasota Police Department and released to his parents.
