WASHINGTON CO. COMMISSIONERS TO RECEIVE UPDATE ON AIR AMBULANCE AGREEMENT, DISCUSS JAIL KITCHEN PROJECT

  

Washington County EMS’ air ambulance agreement with Metro Aviation and the kitchen improvement project at the Washington County Jail will be discussed during Tuesday’s county commissioner’s meeting.

Metro Aviation Regional Maintenance Manager Chris Finn will provide an update to commissioners regarding the company’s partnership with the county, a year after their agreement began.

The court will also vote on selecting an engineering service provider to complete the jail kitchen project implementation for American Rescue Plan Act funding.  The county set out to issue requests for qualifications for design work during commissioners’ May 16th meeting.

Commissioners will also continue discussion from their last meeting on health insurance for county employees, as they will consider approval of health insurance contribution amounts for the October 1st coverage renewal. 

In other business, the court will consider:

  • Accepting a donation in the amount of $8,058 to purchase body armor for the Precinct 1, 2, 3 and 4 Constables Offices.
  • A presentation of the Washington County Extension Service’s quarterly impact report.
  • Appointment and reappointment of members to the Brazos Valley Council of Governments Criminal Justice Advisory Committee.
  • A permit application for the Chappell Hill 4th of July parade.
  • Purchases for the Washington County Expo using Hotel Occupancy Tax funds, including holding pens for Barn #3 and a scale set.
  • A final plat of The Legacy Hill, a subdivision consisting of four tracts fronting Highway 36 and All Jersey Road in Precinct 2.
  • A final plat for Spring Creek Estates, consisting of 23 residential tracts with a road extension of Crestview Lane of 0.438 miles in Precinct 2.
  • Discussion of a preliminary plat of the Gates Crossing subdivision, a gated 1,261-acre residential development of 40 lots with five roads in Precinct 1.
  • Placing the Reserve of Chappell Hill subdivision in Precinct 1 into the one-year maintenance period and authorizing reduction of security bond.  Roads to be placed in the maintenance period are Clear Woods Court N, 0.073 miles; Clear Woods Court S, 0.082 miles; Chappell Reserve Drive, 0.494 miles; Wooded Reserve Court, 0.246 miles; Creekside Reserve Court, 0.122 miles; and Timberside Court, 0.148 miles.
  • Placing the Timber Bridge subdivision in Precinct 2 into the one-year maintenance period and authorizing reduction of security bond.  Roads to be included are Timber Bridge Lane, 0.516 miles; and Timber Cove Lane, 0.09 miles.
  • A formal notice from Magnolia Oil & Gas Operating, LLC for a 12-inch lay flat water transfer line for a duration of four months within county right-of-way on Upshaw Road, North Haupstrausse Road and Koether Road in Precinct 4. 
  • A proclamation declaring June 2023 as Salvation Army Month in Washington County.

Commissioners will meet Tuesday at 9 a.m. at the Washington County Courthouse.
