GIDDINGS MAN ARREST IN ON-LINE SOLICITATION OF A MINOR CASE
A high-speed chase across two counties led to the arrest of a Giddings man wanted for On-line Solicitation of a Minor.
According to Caldwell Police Chief Charles Barnes, officers from his department, as well as the Burleson County Sheriff’s Office, and Texas DPS, attempted to make contact with a red Dodge truck in the area of Davidson Creek Park in Caldwell on Thursday around 9pm.
The suspect was identified as 29-year-old Nathan Ray Artmann Wallace.
Wallace proceeded to lead the three law enforcement agencies on a chase into Lee County.
After multiple attempts to stop the truck, the Lee County Precinct Two Constable, along with members of the Lee County Sheriff’s Office, and the Giddings Police Department assisted in the pursuit.
Wallace eventually abandoned the truck on Highway 290, and fled on foot. A Lee County Deputy was able to locate him in a nearby pasture, and place him under arrest.
Wallace was transported back to the Burleson County Jail in Caldwell and booked in on charges of On-line Solicitation of a Minor, Evading Arrest in a Motor Vehicle, and Possession of a Controlled Substance.
