BRENHAM HERITAGE MUSEUM TO INTRODUCE TWO NEW EXHIBITS

The Brenham Heritage Museum invites the public to check out two new permanent exhibits.

The Washington County Chamber of Commerce will hold a ribbon cutting at the museum on Tuesday, September 10th at 4:30 p.m. to celebrate the introduction of the European Immigration Kiosk and the Welcome Wall.

The European Immigration Kiosk is an interactive kiosk with digital displays and vintage artifacts that tell the stories of Germans, Poles, Czechs and other immigrants who settled in Washington County.  Museum Executive Director David Thomas calls the exhibit an “absolute must-see.”

The Welcome Wall greets visitors as they enter the museum, offering detailed information about Washington County’s origins through an interactive video screen and a map of Texas to help visitors locate Brenham.

The Museum’s Board of Directors and staff thank the exhibits’ supporters: Humanities Texas, the state affiliate of the National Endowment for the Humanities; the Texas Historical Foundation; and Lauren Anderson and Robert Flanagan.

Museum board members and staff will join the ribbon cutting event, which is free and open to the public.  Light bites and drinks will be provided.
