A traffic stop during the early morning hours on Sunday led to the arrest of a Ledbetter man.

According to Fayette County Sheriff Keith Korenek, Deputy Wesley Arrison stopped a vehicle near La Grange around 5:30am after suspecting that the driver might be intoxicated.

Deputy Jason Fowler assisted Arrison at the scene. A search of the vehicle found a firearm that was reported stolen, 21 grams of methamphetamine, and drug paraphernalia.

After running a background check on the driver, 35-year-old Brandon Faske, it was determined that he was a convicted felon that was currently out on parole.

Faske was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Dan R. Beck Justice Center in La Grange.
