TEXAS RENAISSANCE FESTIVAL CELEBRATING 50 YEARS
The Texas Renaissance Festival is celebrating its 50th anniversary season as it opens its doors this weekend.
The festival, which is located in Todd Mission in Grimes County is the nation’s largest renaissance-themed attraction. According to their website, they welcome over 500,000 guests a year.
The festival will run each weekend starting this weekend and going through December 1, as well as Thanksgiving Friday.
Their hours are 9am-8pm.
There are lots of activities including entertainment, 400 on-site shops, and different types of food.
Each weekend also has a theme. This weekend is it Oktoberfest.
Future themes include 1001 Dreams, All Hallows Eve, Pirate Adventure, Heroes and Villains, Barbarian Invasion, Highland Fling, and Celtic Christmas.
