FAYETTEVILLE PREPARING FOR THEIR 27TH ANNUAL COUNTRY CHRISTMAS
The Fayetteville Chamber of Commerce is getting ready for their 27th Annual Country Christmas Celebration and Lighted Parade.
The Celebration is scheduled for Saturday, December 14, from 10am-9pm on the Historic Courthouse Square.
The morning starts off with shopping and dining in and around the square at local establishments. There will also be arts and crafts booths set up as part of their Christmas Market.
The Tour of Historic Homes runs from noon-5pm.
ARTS for Rural Texas is hosting kids’ crafts from 2-4pm, and then they will have their Holiday Community Show from 4-6pm.
Also starting at 4pm, those in attendance can see the annual Christmas Tree Decorating Contest display, and take photos with Santa Claus in the Old Firehouse.
There will be a performance by the Bell Choir at 4:30pm.
Participants can then begin lining up for the Lighted Parade at 5:30pm on Washington Street between the Grand Fayette Hotel and Orsak’s. There is no entry form required.
The parade will be followed by caroling around town, and live music by Joey McGee.
Everyone is encouraged to bring their lawn chairs as well, and enjoy a Christmas Movie on the Square to close out the evening.
