The Brenham Fire Department’s report stated that Brenham units, who were assisted by personnel from the Meyersville Volunteer Fire Department, put out the fire and ventilated the building using fans to clear the smoke out of the structure.

District officials say the incident will not cause any disruption to the school day, and all operations will proceed as scheduled.

Brenham ISD thanks the fire department for its swift response and says it will continue to take all necessary precautions to ensure the safety and well-being of students and staff.
