BRENHAM MIDDLE SCHOOL, JUNIOR HIGH LIFT SECURE PROTOCOLS AFTER LAW ENFORCEMENT SEARCH FOR FLEEING SUSPECT

  

Secure protocols at Brenham Middle School and Brenham Junior High School have been lifted this (Friday) afternoon as law enforcement searches for a fleeing suspect.

Brenham ISD alerted parents that campuses were secured as a precaution while officials looked for a suspect who fled from officers in an off-campus interaction.  According to the district, law enforcement has confirmed that the suspect who fled is no longer in the immediate area, but they are continuing to track the suspect. 

The district said there was never a direct threat to students or staff, and all students remained safely inside the buildings.

Normal campus operations have resumed. 

At this time, no additional details have been provided from the City of Brenham about the search.
