ONE SENTENCED IN DISTRICT COURT
One person pleaded guilty and was sentenced during a special setting this week of 21st and 335th District Court, before Judge John Winkelmann.
43-year-old Becky Deloris Kemp of Chappell Hill, sentenced to 10 years’ deferred adjudication probation for Aggravated Assault of a Family Member with a Weapon, a first degree felony.
Kemp was also ordered to pay a $1,000 fine, a $100 family violence fee to a shelter and a $50 crime stoppers fee. In addition, she must perform 250 hours of community service, complete a batterers intervention program and maintain no contact with the victim in the case.
