BRENHAM FD RESPONDS MONDAY FOR REPORT OF VEHICLE FIRE, ACCIDENT

  

The Brenham Fire Department was called out four times on Monday.

A few minutes past 7:30 a.m., units were dispatched to a home in the 2200 block of Infield Court for a fire alarm.  They found a bad battery in the detector and replaced all smoke detector batteries for the homeowner. 

Another fire alarm was called in at 9:45 a.m. from Goodwill, 2804 Wood Ridge Boulevard.  Firefighters found a bad detector, reset the alarm and advised an employee to have an alarm company come check the detector.

Just shy of 12:15 p.m., BFD members responded to the 1600 block of Highway 290 West for a vehicle fire.  They arrived on location to find the fire already extinguished.  Nothing was found after deploying a thermal imaging camera to check for hot spots. 

At 5 p.m., the department went out for a transportation incident at Highway 290 and South Day Street.  Units found a two-vehicle accident with no fluids and helped EMS with patient care.  Once the vehicles were removed from the roadway, firefighters cleared the call.
