WASHINGTON COUNTY AND BVR TO SPONSOR A SCRAP TIRE COLLECTION EVENT

  

Washington County and BVR are sponsoring an upcoming Scrap Tire Collection Event.

The Scrap Tire Collection Event is going to be held October 10-24 at the BVR Collection Station at 2009 Old Chappell Hill Road in Brenham.

The event is open to all residents of Washington County including the cities of Brenham and Burton.

Their business hours are 8am-5pm on weekdays, and 8am-1pm on Saturdays.

They will be accepting up to eight passenger vehicle tires per household at no charge.

Proof of residency is required such as a driver’s license or a utility bill.

They will not be accepting tires on rims, off-road tires, or pieces of tires.

Also, the Scrap Tire Collection Event is not for commercial customers. Commercial businesses can bring tires by, but they will be charged the normal fee.

Funding for the Scrap Tire Collection Event is made possible by the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality and the Brazos Valley Council of Governments.
