BRENHAM FD RESPONDS TO OIL SPILL, SMOKING ELECTRIC BOX

The Brenham Fire Department was called out twice on Wednesday.

At 12:15 p.m., firefighters were dispatched to West Main Street and North Saeger Street for an oil spot in the roadway.  Units arrived on location to find a small spill.  They mitigated the spill and washed the roadway down before returning to service.

Shortly after 2:30 p.m., BFD members responded to a report of smoke coming from an electric box in the 1700 block of Highway 105.  They found light smoke coming from an electric box on the ground.  The fire department stood by until the City of Brenham Electric Department made location.
