WASHINGTON COUNTY LADIES LIONS ASSISTING SEVERAL WORTHY CAUSES

The Washington County Ladies Lions Club recently made donations to support two worthwhile community causes, while also continuing to help other local non-profit organizations.

A contribution of $500 was presented to the Brenham Honor Guard to assist with uniform purchases, equipment needs, meal expenses, and uniform cleaning.

The club also donated $250 to the City of Brenham Animal Services Mobile Pet Adoption Van Fund to help support its ongoing adoption services.

In addition to these donations, the club continues to participate in several service projects. Members are currently collecting new and gently used shoes for the Caldwell Lions Soles4Souls Project, which runs through December 1.

The club's bi-monthly food collection efforts resulted in the donation of 61 food items to the Faith Mission Food Pantry and 21 food items to the Appel Ford Drive Out Hunger Campaign.

Looking ahead, club members will assist Gather 'n Grace this coming Monday, October 19, by providing toys, coloring supplies, and a variety of children's craft activities for families participating in the program.

In addition to that, the Brenham Evening Lions Club and the Ladies Lions Club jointly did Kids Sight vision screenings at the Citadel.

Through these donations and service projects, the Washington County Ladies Lions Club remains committed to serving the local community and supporting organizations that make a positive impact throughout Washington County.
