WASHINGTON CO. COMMISSIONERS TO HOLD EXECUTIVE SESSION, TAKE POTENTIAL DISCIPLINARY ACTION ON EXPO DIRECTOR

Washington County Commissioners will meet Tuesday to take possible action on the Expo Director position.

An executive session will be held for commissioners to “deliberate the evaluation, duties, performance, and possible disciplinary action, up to and including dismissal, concerning the Expo Director.”  The court will then go into open session for a vote on the items discussed in executive session.

Harrison Williams has held the role of Expo Director since July 2020.  No information has been provided at this time as to the reason for the agenda item coming before the court.

Also on Tuesday, commissioners will look to accept the 2025-26 school lands report and disbursement of funds to Brenham and Burton ISDs, referring to revenue from Washington County’s school land in Tom Green County.

In other business, commissioners will:

  • Hear the Washington County AgriLife Extension Service quarterly report.
  • Consider a right-of-way permit application for the 2026 Texas Renegade Outriders.
  • Read a proclamation declaring the month of October as Domestic Violence Awareness Month.

Commissioners will meet Tuesday at 9 a.m. at the Washington County Courthouse.
