HIGHWAY 105 BRIDGE REPLACEMENT AT JACKSON CREEK BEGINS MONDAY
TxDOT will begin construction on Monday on the Highway 105 bridge over Jackson Creek in Washington County.
Crews will shift traffic to the north side of the existing bridge, located approximately halfway between Brenham and Navasota, while the southern half is removed and replaced. Once work on the southern half is complete, traffic will be shifted and construction will move to the other half of the bridge.
TxDOT says two lanes of traffic will remain open throughout construction, but lanes will be narrow through the work zone.
Drivers are encouraged to slow down, use caution and pay close attention to changing traffic conditions.
The approximately $3 million project will fully replace the existing bridge and is contracted to Larry Young Construction. It is expected to be completed by the end of 2027.
