FIVE PLEAD GUILTY TO FELONY OFFENSES IN DISTRICT COURT

  

Five persons plead guilty to felony offenses and received either probation or prison terms in the 21st Judicial District Court according to Julie Renken, District Attorney, presided over by Judge Carson Campbell.

Kenneth Roberts, Age 59, of Brenham, charged with Evading Arrest/Detention Using a Vehicle from January 2, 2015, and had his Probation revoked and sentenced to three years in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice, court cost, $1500 fine, $50 Crime Stoppers fee, and court-appointed attorney fee.

Roberts was also charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance from January 2, 2014, and had his probation revoked and was sentenced to 14 months in the TDCJ, court costs and $65 lab fee.

Randy R Johnson, Age 33, of Spring, charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance from June 20, 2014, and was sentenced to ten years in the TDCJ, probated for 6 years, $1500 fine, court cost, $180 lab fee, $50 Crime Stoppers fee, 240 hours of community service restitution, drug/alcohol evaluation and treatment, drug offender education program, one year’s driver’s license suspension, successfully complete Directions of Recovery Program and provide DNA and urinalysis sample.

Darrion Martin, Age 20, of Brenham, charged with Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon, from January 11, 2015, and was sentenced to six years deferred adjudication probation, $1500 fine, court cost, $50 Crime Stoppers fee, 100 hours of community service, Anger Management Class, drug/alcohol evaluation and treatment, provide DNA sample and urinalysis, no contact with the victim and co-defendants in this case, and stay away from the residence where assault occurred,

Jason Wagner, Age 39, of Brenham, charged with Forgery of a Financial Instrument/Elderly from July 6, 2013, and was sentenced to five years deferred adjudication, court cost, court-appointed attorney fee, $50 warrant fee, $3,423.66 restitution, $75 hot check fee, $50 Crime Stoppers fee, 200 hours community service and provide DNA and urinalysis samples.

Wagner was also charged with Forgery of a Financial Instrument from February 12, 2013 and was sentenced to five years deferred adjudication, court cost, court-appointed attorney fee, and provide DNA and urinalysis sample.

Oscar Griffin, Age 29, of Brenham, charged with Theft $1500 - $20,000 from November 19, 2014, and was sentenced to four years deferred adjudication, court cost, court-appointed attorney fee, $50 warrant fee, $2,000 restitution, 160 hours of community service, drug/alcohol evaluation and treatment, provide DNA and urinalysis sample and stay away from WalMart.
