VIDEO OF SNOOK INSTRUCTOR PUSHING STUDENT POSTED
A Snook ISD instructor has been removed from his position after a video was posted online allegedly showing him pushing a student multiple times.
According to KBTX, the video was posted on Thursday evening by Stacey Williams, who is a mother of a student. Williams says her son took the video and then showed it to an administrator. According to Williams the administrator deleted the video off the phone, however her son had already sent the video to another device.
The video shows a man picking up a child and then pushing him into a bean bag. When the child resists, he grabs the child by the arm and brings him to his feet. Eventually, the man flips the child around and pushes him into the bean bag.
Snook ISD has released the following statement on their Facebook page:
“The Snook ISD Administration became aware of an incident of concern in which a Snook ISD employee was attempting to exert discipline and control over a young student. The incident was immediately reported by another student to the principal. The principal did an excellent job in quickly obtaining and preserving available video evidence from school cameras and a student's mobile device. The instructor was immediately removed from duty pending a full review and investigation of the matter. Our top priority is for our students to be treated in a safe and respectful manner when they are in our care.”
