BRENHAM ANIMAL SHELTER OFFERS HOLIDAY SPECIAL ON ADOPTIONS

Beginning Monday, the Brenham Pet Adoption Center is waiving the adoption fee for a four-day period.

This Monday-thru-Thursday, just in time for Christmas, all adoptable animals are available for the price of a city license - $19.49.

According to Cpl. John Snowden, the shelter’s supervisor, the adoption fee is being waived but all the benefits associated with adopting from the shelter remain in place.

The adoption fee covers the spay or neuter, first round of shots and rabies vaccination. The $19.49 will still cover all that, as well as the required city license.

Potential adopters who live outside the city limits will not be required to purchase a city license so their new pet can go home at no cost.

From Dec. 27 through the end of the year, animals will be available for adoption for $25 – half off the normal fee. City residents will still have to purchase a city license.

Animals that are available for adoption can be seen on the Shelter’s Facebook page, on the City of Brenham’s website or in person.

Shelter hours are Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.
