TEXAS A&M FOOTBALL PLAYER ACCUSED OF INDECENT EXPOSURE REMOVED FROM TEAM
Texas A&M has removed a member of its football team after allegations he exposed himself to two female tutors on separate occasions in 2016.
This is the second time wide receiver Kirk James Merritt has been suspended from the team for the incident.
Merritt was first suspended from all football activities in October, after Coach Kevin Sumlin received the police report. In February, Merritt’s suspension was lifted after the university concluded its conduct process.
Merritt is accused of exposing his private parts in front of a woman on October 25, 2016. According to court documents, he allegedly did it again to another woman the following day.
Meritt’s attorney says the incident is a misunderstanding and that the 20-year-old had a “bad case of jock itch”.
