BHS SWIMMER TO COMPETE AT STATE MEET FRI-SAT.

Brenham High School swimmer Shayle Woods is set to compete today and tomorrow at the State UIL Swim Meet at the University of Texas.
Woods will be competing in the Women’s 500 Freestyle at the Jamail Swim Center in Austin.
Woods, a junior at BHS, qualified two weeks ago with a school-record 5:14.41 at the Region Meet at Texas A&M. That time is 10th fastest among the 24 qualifiers for Friday’s qualifying races. The top eight times qualify for Saturday final.
The 5A swimming and diving prelims get underway at 10:00 a.m. Friday. Saturday’s 5A finals get underway at 9:30.
