BLINN VICE CHANCELLOR NAMED PRESIDENT OF SOUTHWESTERN OKLAHOMA STATE UNIVERSITY

A high-level administrator at Blinn College is leaving to take the top position at her alma mater.
Vice Chancellor of Student Services Dr. Diane Lovell was named earlier this month as the president of Southwestern Oklahoma State University (SWOSU) in Weatherford and Sayre.
A Weatherford native, Dr. Lovell has been at Blinn since 2012. Prior to her current role at Blinn, she served as a history professor and dean of social sciences.

Dr. Lovell will start as SWOSU president on July 1st.
Dr. Becky McBride, Blinn’s dean of student success, will serve in Dr. Lovell’s position in the interim.
