BRENHAM ISD ANNOUNCES OPEN HOUSES FOR CAMPUSES
SOME OPEN HOUSES IN-PERSON, OTHERS VIRTUAL
Brenham ISD has released open house information for each of its campuses.
Open houses will take place starting today (Tuesday) and run through next Monday, August 24th. Each campus will have a different format for open houses; some events will occur in person, while others will be held virtually.
The Early Childhood Learning Center (ECLC) will host an open house tour Monday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., featuring five minute tours of the campus with a staff member. Ten tours will be held at a time, and a short wait time is possible. Only the ECLC student and one parent or guardian will be allowed, and the parent or guardian must wear a mask. They can also pick up their student backpack.
Alton Elementary School will host an open house only for new students on Thursday from 5:30 to 7 p.m. To maintain social distancing guidelines, teachers will reach out to parents to schedule a time.
Brenham Elementary School will hold an open house for kindergarten students tomorrow (Wednesday) and Thursday from 5 to 7 p.m. To maintain social distancing guidelines, teachers will contact parents to schedule a time.
Krause Elementary School’s open house will be held for kindergarten students and students new to Krause Elementary School. In-person sessions will be held today from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and from 5 to 7 p.m., as well as tomorrow from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. A virtual meet the teacher session will be held for all other grades. To keep with social distancing guidelines, teachers will contact parents to schedule a time.
Brenham Middle School will hold an in-person open house for fifth graders and a virtual session for sixth graders today, tomorrow, and Thursday. Teachers will contact parents to schedule a time.
Brenham Junior High School will host a drive-thru open house and schedule/ID pickup on Thursday from 5 to 7 p.m. Seventh graders will need to drive through the bus side of the school for pickup, while eighth graders should drive through the school’s car side. A virtual open house will start Friday.
Brenham High School will not have an open house, but it will release a freshman fish camp video on social media and on the Brenham High School campus website. For sophomores through seniors, there will be a TikTok video launch. Schedules will be sent through the Brenham ISD parent portal.
