EARLY VOTING IN PRIMARY TO BEGIN TUESDAY

  

 

There are two contested local races on the ballot for the primary elections, with early voting set to begin, Tuesday.

Both races are on the Republican Ballot, with incumbent Don Koester facing challenger Rick Seeker in the nomination for County Commissioner, Precinct One.  In the race for the Republican nominee for County Treasurer, Daphne Kohring is facing Cheryl Gaskamp.

Early voting will take place in the Washington County Courthouse Annex, tomorrow-thru-Friday and next Monday thru Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. each day.

Primary Election Day is set for Tuesday, March 3rd from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Washington County Clerk Beth Rothermel is reminding all local registered voters wishing to vote by mail in the upcoming Primary Elections, will need to have their application in the County Clerk’s office by Friday (February 21).

Once early voting begins Tuesday, applications need to be mailed in.  They can be “walked in” on Monday, but after that, they must be mailed in, per state law.

  1. As I understand this there will be no Early voting on a Saturday ? I live in Washington county But work in College station Monday through Friday so Saturday morning voting is the only option I really had .
