HOPE RISING ANNOUNCES NEW INTERIM EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR, EMERGENCY ASSESSMENT CENTER IN NEW CANEY
An anti-human sex trafficking organization headquartered in Washington County has announced new leadership and an expansion into Montgomery County.
Hope Rising has named Lidya Kushner as Interim Executive Director of the organization. Kushner, a veteran executive with over 30 years of experience in founding and leading nonprofit organizations, is the owner and principal of Kushner Advisors, LLC, a management consulting company.
Kushner is a Senior Fellow with the American Leadership Forum, a graduate of the FBI Citizens Academy, a certified mediator with the Dispute Resolution Center, a senior Birkman Method consultant, and an Associate Certified Coach (ACC) by the International Coach Federation (ICF).
Hope Rising Board Chair Pastor Tim Webb said the organization’s work will be strengthened by Kushner’s “experience in building high-performing organizations, passion and commitment to excellence”.
Plans have also been announced for Hope Rising Haven, a new Emergency Assessment Center located in New Caney. The property for the new facility was recently donated to Hope Rising by The Houston 20, a Houston-based movement advocating for the end of sex trafficking and sex trade.
