A man wanted out of Colorado for numerous child sex crimes was arrested last week in Navasota.
Last Wednesday, police arrested 20-year-old Tristan Stewart of Grand Junction, Colorado after receiving a notice that he may have been living in the area. Stewart was located by Navasota police in the 500 block of Laredo Street.
According to Navasota Police Chief Shawn Myatt, Stewart had multiple outstanding arrest warrants, including six counts of Sexual Assault on a Child/Pattern of Abuse and two counts of Aggravated Incest. Both charges are Class 3 Felonies.
Stewart remains in the Grimes County Jail awaiting extradition to Colorado. He is being held without bond at this time.
