ONE KILLED IN FIRE AT BLUFFVIEW VILLAS SENIOR APARTMENTS IN BRENHAM

  

One person is dead after a fire this (Monday) afternoon at a senior living complex in Brenham.

The fire occurred at the Bluffview Villas senior apartments on Schulte Boulevard around 12:30 p.m.

Brenham Fire Chief Ricky Boeker said the State Fire Marshal’s Office is currently reviewing evidence from the scene and performing an investigation.  The Brenham Fire and Police Departments have gone through the scene and are waiting on the state to give a final report.

Boeker said the fire was called in by a resident who saw smoke coming from the door of a neighboring unit.  The fire was contained to the one unit, and no other injuries or damages were reported.

The name of the victim, identified as a male, has not been released.
