POLICE INVESTIGATING AUTO BURGLARIES

  

 

Brenham Police are investigating two motor vehicle burglaries, reported Tuesday afternoon.

Shortly before 2:00, Cpl. Steven Eilert was called to the 2100 block of S. Day. The caller said she had watched a male subject walk away from a vehicle parked behind the business.

She says she also saw broken glass near the vehicle and realized the subject must have broken the window of the vehicle.

Eilert made contact with the owner, who verified the only thing taken from the car was an empty purse.

 

Then, just moments later, Officer Jonathan Phipps was dispatched to the 1100 block of Prairie Lea St..

The window on the passenger’s side was broken out.

The caller said when he had gone to lunch and the window was intact. When he returned to his vehicle the window had been broken out.

Nothing was missing; the cost of the replacement window was estimated to be $200.
