DOWNTOWN LA GRANGE HOSTING 13TH ANNUAL SCHMECKENFEST THURSDAY
Downtown La Grange will kick off its holiday season tonight (Thursday) with the 13th Annual Schmeckenfest.
The annual wassail tasting and Christmas extravaganza begins at 5 p.m. on the Fayette County Courthouse lawn with the lighting of the county Christmas tree.
Over 20 different kinds of wassail, or hot cider, will be available to sample from participating businesses and organizations. The winner of the wassail contest will be named Schmeckenmeister until the next festival.
Guests can also look forward to music, holiday treats from local nonprofits, a scavenger hunt, and a window decorating contest.
