GAS PRICES DROP SLIGHTLY

  

Drivers are seeing a a slight drop in prices at the gas pumps in Texas.

According to AAA Texas Weekend Gas Watch, this week’s average price for a gallon of regular unleaded is $3.44 per gallon.

That is two cents lower than last week and 21 cents below  the national average of $3.65.

Drivers in Dallas are paying the most in the state at $3.49 per gallon while drivers in Amarillo, Beaumont and San Antonio are paying the least at $3.38 per gallon.

For the past three years, the national average has steadily declined to start the summer driving season. Although early data for summer 2014 is moving in this direction, it is too soon to say what will happen this year.

Currently, Texas drivers are paying about $48 to fill up a 14-gallon size fuel
