18-YEAR OLD CHARGED WITH ASSAULTING HIS GIRLFRIEND

A Brenham man has been arrested for second time on charges of beating up his girlfriend.
18-year old Cody Dougherty was arrested Tuesday night after police were called to a residence in the 2400 block of Cheyanne Drive.
Dougherty is charged with Assault Causing Bodily Injury – Domestic Violence with a Prior Conviction.
Authorities says the previous conviction was for an attack on the same victim.
The charge is a third degree felony.
