BLINN APPOINTS NEW VICE-PRESIDENT FOR HEALTH SCIENCES AND WORKFORCE EDUCATION

The changes keep coming at Blinn College.
Blinn President Harold Nolte announced yesterday (Tuesday) that Dr. Cynthia Griffith has been named to the new position of Vice-President of Health Services and Technical Workforce Education.
The change was effective immediately.

Dr. Cynthia Griffith is the new vice-president for health sciences, technical and workforce education.

Dr. Griffith had been the vice-president for instruction and academic programs. An interim vie president for that position will be named shortly.
Blinn College Public Information Officer Rich Bray says President Nolte believes workforce education and health sciences are so critically important to the college that a vice-president was needed to oversee the disciplines.

Dr. Nolte went on to say that the college’s Health Sciences, Technical and Workforce Education divisions are vital to Blinn and the community.
Griffith joined Blinn as vice-president for Allied Health Sciences in May 2013 and was assigned as vice president for instruction in November. She came to Blinn from Lone Star College at Cypress-Fairbanks where she was the dean of public service, health and behavioral sciences.

  1. Very glad to see Dr. Nolte putting more emphasis on health and workforce technical education. These areas offer people of all ages opportunities that would not be available if Blinn did not offer the training. Thanks
