BRAZOS VALLEY WOMAN ACCUSED OF PRACTICING AS NURSE WITHOUT LICENSE

A College Station woman is being accused of practicing as a nurse without a license for nearly a decade. SHEILA VINCENT2234

Forty-three year old Sheila Marie Vincent turned herself into the Brazos County Sheriff’s Office on Friday after finding out she had a warrant out for her arrest.

She is accused of using the license number of another nurse who practiced elsewhere in the state. Vincent had been practicing at Texas ENT and Allergy in places such Bellville, Brenham, College Station, Crockett, Giddings, Huntsville and LaGrange.

Police say that Vincent never had a nursing license in Texas, and investigators with the Texas Board of Nursing is investigating, saying that, “We take nurse imposter cases very seriously,” said Bruce Holter, information specialist with the Texas Board of Nursing.

College Station police began investigating on January 16, after receiving a tip from someone who knew Vincent, not an employer or patient.

Vincent was released from jail on Friday after posting $25,000 bail.

  1. It’s a shame, she must be pretty smart to fool all the people she worked with-too bad she didn’t put those smarts to good use and get a degree! If she didn’t want to go to school, she could have worked at the State School as a direct care staff and helped many of them.

  2. Wow! I remember when another young “lady” from Brenham did the same thing some years ago. The nerve some people have.

    1. Allergy testing is not hard, I’m a MA and do them all the time. If your daughter was not injured leave it alone and quit trying to get rick quick.

  3. Wow! Did this really happen? What is really going on, are we no longer checking background information? Was there not a photo and fingerprints on file with the state?
