BRENHAM POLICE MAKE THEFT ARREST
Brenham Police have arrested a man and charged him with theft.
Tuesday morning, around 9 a.m., Cpl. Richard Bobbitt responded to Brenham Repair Center in the 1400 block of W. Main Street in reference to a theft.
According to Bobbitt, 38-year old Patrick Deon Smith allegedly paid for a chainsaw Monday, with a check from a closed account. He then allegedly tried to return the saw for a cash refund.
A warrant was issued for Smith’s arrest. It was also learned that Smith had an outstanding warrant for a previous theft.
He was located a short time later during a traffic stop.
Smith was arrested and charged with Theft – under $1500 with two previous convictions.
