CHAPPELL HILL CELEBRATES THE FOURTH

  

Hundreds turned out Saturday morning for the 39th Annual 4th of July Parade & Celebration in Chappell Hill.

The parade featured the World Famous Marching Kazoo Band, decorated floats, unique vehicles, and the roar of the parade starting cannon.

1st Place - $300 Prize sponsored by Chappell Hill Bakery and Deli - The Prairie Hillbillies with a “Backyard, BBQ and Bluebell” Float –

2nd Place – $175 Prize sponsored by Elizabeth & Robert Rigney - “Red, White & Bluebonnets – Four Generations of the Long Family from Brenham

3rd Place - $100 Prize sponsored by Brenham Monument – “Jimmy Buffet Celebrates the 4th in Chappell Hill with the Parrokeets and Parrotheads.  The Metzger & Fisher Family.

Honorable Mention – Chappell Hill Hot Tub Society

Best Business – $100 Prize Sponsored by The Bluebonnet House- Chappell Hill Bakery & Deli

Best Childrens - $100 Prize Sponsored by Tom & Dixie Stevens – All American Country Girl 4th of July- Hannah DiPremio, the All American Country Girl – Born in the USA – Pulling a float with her favorite country star Luke Bryant waiting on his hot air balloon ride for the 4th of July.  God Bless America.

The annual July 4th event included family entertainment, with activities such as: the Cool Rods Car Show, live music with Rock of Ages, train rides, face painting, wine tasting, and food and beverage vendors.

Plus, there’s the Chappell Hill Historical Society’s Summer Cowboy Event, Cowboy Rocking T Chuck wagon, Cowboy Bob, pony rides, petting zoo, oxen demonstrations at the Museum.
