EARLY VOTING CONTINUES THIS WEEK

Early voting began on Monday, and according to Beth Rothermel, Washington County Clerk, 230 people took advantage of the early voting option, with 97 people voting in the Blinn College elections, 91 in the Brenham ISD elections, and 42 for the City of Brenham elections.

Voting continues 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Washington County Courthouse Annex, 100 S. Park St, in Brenham.

There is reserved parking available for voters in front of the Annex.

In addition, the deadline for receiving an application for a ballot by mail is April 30.

The Blinn election is county-wide, meaning that any registered voter in Washington County may cast a ballot in that election.

The Brenham ISD election is for those voters registered within the boundaries of the Brenham Independent School District.  Voters registered in the Burton ISD will need to vote at the School Office in Burton.

The City of Brenham election is for those voters registered within the city limits of Brenham.  Voters registered in the City of Burton city limits should vote at the City of Burton office.

Early voting at the Courthouse Annex continues through Friday, May 1,  8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and again next Monday and Tuesday, May 4 and 5 from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
