The rain has caused Lake Somerville to flood, yet again. Lake Somerville is currently 21.68 feet above normal elevation.

Water is flowing over the spillway of Lake Somerville though water is being released at 8,761 cubic feet per second. According to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, all boat ramps and parks are closed. The road through the uncontrolled spillway is closed and Pecan Lake is also closed.

All reservations for Yegua Creek Park beginning May 27th running through June 30th are in the process of being cancelled. All affected parties should be notified by NRRS and a full refund should be issued.

Updates on closings can always be found at the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers website: www.usace.army.mil.
