LOWER THAN EXPECTED NUMBERS DURING FIRST DAY OF EARLY VOTING

  

Yesterday was the first day of early voting and Washington County Clerk, Beth Rothermel says that the first day turnout was a little lower than expected.

According to Rothermel, 130 ballots were cast in the Republican Primary and 31 cast in the Democratic Primary. These numbers are similar to the numbers in 2014 with 139 and 24 respectively.

Early voting continues through Friday from 8am to 5pm including through the lunch hour. Saturday voting is from 9am to 2pm and Sunday voting Is from noon to 3.

There is reserved parking in front on the annex.
