SCHULENBURG MAN AND WOMAN ARRESTED FOR POSSESSION

  

A Schulenburg man and woman have been taken into custody in Fayette County both on possession charges.

26 year old Michael Chambliss of Schulenburg was arrested Wednesday morning around 9:00am, Deputy Mark Zimmermann and the Sheriff’s Narcotics Unit went to a residence on Louis Herzik Road in the Schulenburg area in Fayette County to serve 2 misdemeanor warrants.

Once contact was made with one of the occupants at the residence it was noted by the Deputies that it was one of the subjects with outstanding warrants.

Chambliss was taken into custody for an outstanding warrant for possession of marijuana and was also found to be in possession of more marijuana for which he was charged and is now facing another offense for possession of marijuana.

25 year old Sarah Chambliss of Schulenburg was also located at the residence and she was arrested on an outstanding warrant for possession of marijuana.  The Deputies received consent to search the residence, at which time they located meth and marijuana.  Sarah Chambliss is now facing additional charges for possession of a controlled substance and possession of marijuana.

Both individuals were transported to the Dan R. Beck Justice Center.
