WASHINGTON CO. COMMISSIONERS TO MEET TUESDAY
Washington County Commissioners are expected to approve acceptance of a grant, when they meet Tuesday morning.
The grant program assists government entities in improving emergency performance capabilities. It involves both day-to-day and long-term strategies.
FEMA developed the program to help local governments withstand the potential impact of –among other things—natural disasters.
FEMA personnel maintain a close relationship with emergency management communities to ensure the program is developed to meet their needs.
Also at Tuesday’s meeting, the Commissioners are expected to appoint a member to the county’s Fairgrounds Management Board.
They will also hear monthly reports from: The Washington County Sheriff, County 9-1-1, Information Technology Department, EMS, and Veterans’ Services.
Washington County Commissioners meet Tuesday morning at 9:00 at the County Courthouse.
