WASHINGTON CO. NATIVES TO COMPETE IN INTERNATIONAL RODEO

  

A pair of Washington County residents are competing in the International Finals Youth Rodeo starting Sunday in Oklahoma.

Ryan Nettle and Kysan Buckner are in Shawnee Oklahoma for the 25th Annual International Finals Youth Rodeo.  The event, held at the Heart of Oklahoma Exposition Center in Shawnee, starts Sunday and runs through July 14th.  More than 800 of the top high school rodeo athletes from around the world will be competing for more than $250,000 in prize money, along with championship buckles and saddles.

Nettle is entered in the steer wrestling event, while Buckner will compete in barrel racing, pole bending and breakaway roping.
