FAYETTE COUNTY SHERIFF REPORTS NOT EVERYONE AT ANTIQUE FESTIVAL IS A VENDOR OR BUYER

Fayette County Sheriff Keith Korenek reports that with the Antique Festival coming to Fayette County, not all vendors and buyers are here to sell and buy antiques.

The Fayette County Narcotics Unit worked this year’s Spring show and several individuals were arrested for possession of illegal narcotics.

Undercover deputies arrested five people on different occasions from possession of drug paraphernalia to possession of marijuana.

Arrested for possession of marijuana were 61 year old Anton Bernal of Wharton, 42 year old Jimmy Wallace of La Grange, 49 year old William Long, 35 year old Corey Colzie both of Atlanta, Georgia, and Mary Francis, 67 of Adairsville, Georgia received a citation for possession of drug paraphernalia.

During the arrest investigation of William Long, it was determined he provided a false name due to him having a felony warrant out of Georgia for shoplifting.  Long was subsequently charged with failure to identify as a fugitive from justice.  Long is still in custody but all the other individuals have posted bond and were released from jail.
