GRIMES COUNTY BEGINS SELECTION FOR INDECENCY WITH A CHILD TRIAL

Grimes County began its search for juror in an indecency with a child trial on Tuesday.
Seventy-one year old James R “Jim Boy” Harrington was arrested on April 17, 2014, charged with three counts of indecency with a child by sexual contact, and two counts of second-degree felony in Brazos County.
Each count carries a possible two-to twenty-year prison term, and a fine of up to $10,000.
A large number of jury notices were sent out by the District Clerk’s Office due to Harrington being well-known throughout the county.
The victim is scheduled to testify, as well as members of her family, the Navasota Police Department detectives and a representative of Young Life.
The Grimes County trial is expected to be complete by Friday, and the Brazos County trial is set for May 4.
