LARGE CROWDS ATTEND DOWNTOWN MOMENT OF SILENCE
The Brenham community showed up in large numbers to support the men and women in blue at the Washington County Courthouse Friday morning, and to join in a moment of silence.
Numerous city and county officials were present for the remembrance, including Sheriff Otto Hanak, Judge Carson Campbell, acting Police Chief Dant Lange, and Commissioner Joy Fuchs, who organized the event.
Randy Wells, of Faith Mission, followed the other speakers in thanking the community for the support of law enforcement locally, and around the area, especially remembering the family of Harris County Sheriff’s Deputy Darren Goforth, who was gunned down last Friday while putting gas his patrol unit.
