JUVENILE ARRESTED AND CHARGED WITH BURGLARY
A juvenile is in custody, charged with burglary after an investigation led to the juvenile’s arrest.
On Tuesday September 15, 2015 Washington County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a burglary in progress call in the 6000 block of Nicholson Lake Road in Chappell Hill.
Upon arrival caretakers of the property told the deputies they had an individual held and one other suspected had fled the scene on foot.
Sergeant Investigators Damon Wegner and Mark Whidden responded to the scene and discovered after interviewing the detained subject that he himself was a victim in the burglary, and he was just there to purchase a shredder posted on Craig’s List from the person who fled on foot when the property caretakers arrived.
Evidence and information collected at the scene led Investigators to a residence in the 5000 block of Gibbs Creek Road, where a juvenile suspect was identified.
Wegner charged the juvenile with Burglary of a Building and he was remanded to the custody of juvenile probation.
