NAVASOTA HIGH SCHOOL TEACHER PLACED ON ADMINISTRATIVE LEAVE

  

A Navasota high school teacher has been placed on administrative leave.

Navasota ISD has reported that a teacher, that has not yet been identified, was placed on leave for "unprofessional conduct and violations of district policy." Police and the school district are now investigating, according to NISD.

Navasota Superintendent, Rory Gesch has said that the district will take any further necessary measures.

The following is the complete statement from Navasota ISD concerning the events of Friday:

Navasota ISD can confirm that the district received a report of improper conduct by a high school teacher today, Friday, March 11. That employee has been placed on leave for unprofessional conduct and violations of district policy. The matter was referred to law enforcement. Both the district and police investigations are on-going. Navasota ISD will take any further measures that it believes are necessary. As always, the education and well-being of our students is our priority and the district appreciates the continued support of the community.
