BRENHAM HIGH SCHOOL STUDENT ARRESTED FOR ASSAULT

  

A 16-year-old Brenham student has been arrested for allegedly assaulting another person over the weekend.

The name of the student is not being released due to their age.

According to Washington County Sheriff Otto Hanak, the student was arrested Tuesday after a misdemeanor warrant was issued.

The sheriff’s office says they are still investigating the case.

Brenham ISD released the following statement about the situation:

"We have been informed of an incident that occurred over the weekend that may have involved Brenham ISD students. We cannot speak about details of an ongoing investigation; however, we are cooperating fully with local law enforcement during their investigation."
