EARLY VOTING REACHES OVER 4,000 PEOPLE THURSDAY

  

On Thursday, 900 voters in Washington County made their way to cast their ballot for the General Election. While it was a slightly slower day than the previous, it brought the total number of early voters in Washington County to 4,427.

Washington County has a total of 22,916 voters eligible to vote in this election, which means 19- percent of people have turned out to vote already.

Today (Friday) is the last day to submit an application for a ballot by mail.  The application cannot be walked-in, but must be received in the voter registrar’s office by mail, fax, or email.   In order to qualify to vote by mail, a person must be either: over the age of 65, disabled, out of county during the early voting period and on Election Day, or incarcerated. Curbside voting is available to those unable to enter the polling place.

This weekend, the Courthouse Annex will be open Saturday for voting from 9 a.m. - 2 p.m. and Sunday 12 p.m. - 3 p.m.
