Please keep the two families affected by this inexplicable tragedy in your thoughts and prayers as answers are sought."
Yes, a tragedy for all. Shelley McKay, the woman who was driving the car he hit was a very good friend and neighbor of ours. She was a breast cancer survivor and her daughter Megan was recently diagnosed and they were in Houston for Megan to have a double Mastectomy. The surgery was on Thursday and Shelley was transporting her back to Bastrop where they lived. This loss has shaken our neighborhood to the core. Shelley and her husband were married for 40 years right out of high school..I can’t even imagine how tragic this accident was for Megan physically, just having had major surgery. I understand she doesn’t remember the actual accident. Prayers to all who grieve the losses of this terrible event.
Prayers for Laura, the boys and family. I know his father-in-law Steve, and just found out. Prayers for the person injured, too.
This loss of Jason is very hard on the whole family. I loved my cousin very much. God has taken him another Angel Home. He will be missed so very much. I love you Jason. May God be with his wife , kids , my uncle, aunt his brother & sister. And also with his brother & sister firefighters. God Bless you all.
Prayers for his family and for the family of the other victims as well. Jason was a good friend of ours and he will be sorely missed.
